Mindset - Realize the way you and all others think

Mindset means way of thinking about yourself, your work, others, ideas, etc., For example, if someone wants to be thorough and perfect in whatever work he/she does - he/she is a perfectionist thinker.  If someone is averse to details and only listens to the bottom line of the story of something - he/she is a big picture thinker.

Mindset determines one's way of doing things. All people, according to their natural temperament, pick up certain kinds of mindset from the very beginning of life - childhood. But mindset grows with one's life experiences, it can also change over the course of the time.

Mindset can generally be classified into two types - fixed mindset and growth mindset. If someone thinks that the way something should be done is none other than the one they think to be right or validated by some authority. For example, an orthodox person thinks that marriage is prefixed by God and one should not marry outside his/her religion because difference of opinion can cause problems in the relationship - such a thinking is fixed mind thinking. If someone recognizes that there are multiple easy ways to earn money and live happily not necessarily the full time work schedules. Such a open acceptance of the truths, possibilities, facts is growth mind thinking.

Mindset consists of your beliefs, attitudes, values, opinions gained from your own experiences and opinionated from others. Fixed mindset is limited way of thinking, often works well with rigid environments only. But Growth mindset is conducive in any kind of environment and creates room for creativity.

Some Fixed Mind Thinking Examples in our daily life:
1. In many colleges and deemed universities in Tamilnadu, conversations between girls and boys is banned inside the campus. Reason is so obvious to mention.
2. In India, many people reject marriage proposals because of mismatch in Horoscope credentials.
3. Many people avoid doing own business irrespective of the exploitative work environment, they are willing to work for others.
4 . Many parents do not  accept inter-caste love marriages because of prejudices.

Identify on your own all other fixed mind thinking in yourself and others. Progressively, to realize and eliminate fixed thinking would lead our lives in constructive path. I invite you to live a constructive and happy life.

How To Defuse The Communal Forces? Part - II

Among the computing devices man has ever invented, the Computer is the most powerful and useful. But, people who can understand it well, can also write programs to corrupt the system. They are called crackers. They write virus programs and malwares. Those computers are ever vulnerable of attacks. But fortunately, computer designers also developed counter technologies to nullify the viruses and malwares. These protective software is called Antivirus.

How does an Antivirus work?

Since viruses are well written computer programs and are written in thousands every day by thousands of crackers, a permanent one time solution cannot be developed out rightly. So, the Antivirus programmers employ constant vigilant mechanism to identify the harmful intrusive programs. They identify and create a database of virus definitions so that they can prevent the computer from future attacks.

Since communal forces would exist as long as societies exist and they would try dividing people as long as vulnerable social conditions prevail, one time permanent solution cannot be devised for defusing the communal forces. Instead, secular forces of the society should agree upon a vigilant and public reporting mechanism to identify and name the communal forces and to unravel the intention of the strategies employed by them.

For example, if a church is attacked by persons next time, which can be attributed to fringe elements, you should not take it as an attack of the majority on the minority. You should not become revengeful of the culprits personally. Instead, you should take it as an attack of someone who intends to attain power through wrongful means.

I would rather propose to create an Anti Communal Organization(ACO) akin to Anti Virus. The main function of the ACO should be to identify the communal forces, interpret the hidden meaning and intention of their activities, and to name them and to inform the society in regular basis.By neglecting the attempts of the communal forces altogether we could prevent ourselves from violence and loss of freedom. We all should live happily!!!

How To Defuse The Communal Forces? - Part I

Mohammad Aklaq a 50 year old Muslim resident of Dadri of Uttarpradesh had been lynched ruthlessly by a violent mob based on a rumor that he had consumed beef. The nation shocked on hearing the news. Astounding questions ponders relentlessly in people’s mind such as - What a man was murdered just for eating something? Where is this country going on?

Religious Minorities of India such as Muslims and Christians look in despair, they are frightened and had become pessimistic about their happy future and they desperately look for a way to stop these mobs who take the convenient cover of majority religion.

It is out rightly possible to defuse these communal forces with constant vigilance by an acceptable neutral body. A system cannot be overcome unless we understand the true nature of it. In the case of these destructive communal forces also, we need some basic understanding of the way they organize themselves.

Communal violence is prevalent in many countries. For instance, take our neighboring countries – Srilanka. The majority Sihnala politicians resorted to majoritarian politics decades ago affecting rights of the minority Tamils severely to the point that they were forced to take up arms to fight their own Government. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal all have witnessed communal violence in the past and witnessing in the present also.

All these communal forces use identifiable strategies for mobilizing people in their side.

Vulnerable Social Conditions on which communal forces could thrive :

Let me identify some of the social conditions which these communal forces could exploit; so that you can interpret the actions of these communal forces next time on your own.
    1. Visible Economic Imbalance between the Majority Natives and the Minority.
    2. Prohibitions against the majority by the minority in everyday customs such as having food, working, etc
    3. Broken personal relationships between inter-religious couples.
    4. Competition between businesses of people who belong to different groups.

Strategies of the communal Forces to Divide People.

        1. Murdering innocents for not complying with the norms they have devised – for example, murder of Aklaq for not complying with the beef ban.
        2. Rape like cruelty against innocent minority women to provoke and divide the minority against the majority.
        3. Destroying the commercial places of the minorities to weaken them economically.
        4. Relentless Ideological and false propaganda against the targeted groups.
        5.  Murdering dissenting people.

          Aim of Communal Forces

The ultimate aim of Communal Forces is gaining ACCESS TO POWER/AUTHORITY through wrongful means.

Why do you feel sometimes happy and sometimes dry and empty?

We all have a natural tendency to expect to remain happy always. But very few of us experience life as a spontaneous happy field. Many of us do not understand why we are happy sometimes and why we feel dry and empty most of the times. Even though, we live with it and by it, we gain little understanding about the nature of our mind because of its dynamic nature. The mind we had in our childhood is not the same as the mind we have at the present moment. It grows everyday. Meaning, it changes everyday and we should not think the old understanding about our mind will suffice today. We have to pursue continued understanding of the nature of our own selves.

However, some basic truths or laws governing the mind remain universally true for all times.  One such fact or a law can explain why you feel the way you feel all the times.

"You feel what you believe and do."

What you believe to be true about yourself and other people and what you do for that and them sets the plot for an emotional play inside your mind.

Let me explain you with some life examples.

Believing something to be true about yourself influences your mind.

Routines are boring. One of my Software Developer friends, starts from home to work as early as 7am by train and returns home as late as 10:30pm by train.  Having a punishing work schedule everyday, my friend used to be quiet and dull in the evenings as well as in the mornings. One evening he looked very bright and enthusiastic unusually. I told him that he was looking enthusiastic, and asked why. He said, "Today is my wedding anniversary!". I then realized the reason for his enthusiasm. The thing is after that day, he has turned to be normal - quiet and dull as usual. What made him happy was that the belief that - "wedding anniversary is something special and for that we can be happy".

Doing something- Action- good or bad influences your mind.

One of my students got placed in a Software Development  Multi National Company after remaining jobless for more than 2 years. He was a laborious youth working very hard to settle down in life. But for the lack of something unidentified, he was unable to get a job. As I started to train him in advanced software development technologies, I found him to be a quick learner and fluent in English. But the thing is, because of the initial eliminations from interviews in the past, he apparently lacked confidence in himself of being recruited. One day, I assigned a difficult to do- development task and asked him to complete it by the same day. Astonishingly, he had completed the task with ease even before the timing at what I expected him to complete.  On that instance, I told him, "G...r...eat!!! You are definitely going to get placed very soon." He became very happy and because of that task completion and my feedback, he started to believe himself strongly.  He got placed in a big MNC company very soon after that. The point here is, I feel always happy about him and whenever he calls me and talks, I feel excited. Reason for my excitement - I have done a good job and he believes me to be great.

Doing Nothing - Inaction - Influences your mind

I should also tell you that not doing something good or bad influences your mind as much as doing something. I experienced the effect of inaction in my young age itself.
Wanting to work but remaining Jobless for a period of time would be depressing, many of us would have undergone such an episode for quite sometime. I too believed that to get a job I should talk in English fluently, but at that time I could hardly open my mouth in front of people - I was shy to speak in public in English. So long a time, I remained jobless and faced the miserable social effects being jobless. The reason why I suffered is the belief that I have no enough skill and remained in a demotivated state of mind and consequent inaction caused me enormous untold emotional suffering then. I did nothing about getting a job - I suffered.

          Physical influence on Mind

Finally, let me tell you one more point about your feelings. Your body influences your feelings as much as your mind. Particularly, not having enough sleep and nutritious food can influence your feelings. If you are not sleeping enough, all your mental functions - such as paying attention, information processing, decision making - would go down in quality. You would tend to feel impulsive. The will power would go down. And importantly, you might feel irresistible urge for sexual consumption ever more.  And also, not having enough food can suppress your emotions.

          Call For Living Happily

Understand that being happy is an attitude and not natural state of mind.  Positive evaluation of self causes happiness. The natural state of mind is PEACEFULNESS. The stronger the resolve to remain happy and to eliminate the cause of worry, the happier you would be ever. BE HAPPY AND MAKE HAPPY!!!

India 2015 - A Land Of Persistent Poverty Of Happiness

This is an account of critical evaluation of the state of affairs in our mother land. Yes, there is persistent poverty of happiness all across the country. How do I say that, listen to the recent events turning up in our own days and you will understand.

Let me list out the evidences of my claim one by one.

Gujarat is the most well governed state which is most viable for doing profitable big businesses - this is what most Indians believed and the super human leader Narendra Modi has turned dry desserts into prosperous fertile lands - this what we were made to believe. But on seeing the support extended by Patels for the Hardik Patel's agitation for demanding reservation for Patel students and job seekers, we are perplexed that who is telling lie either Narendra Modi or Hardik Patel . Over half a million have showed up demanding reservation by demanding to degrade themselves from an upper caste list to lower caste list. If Gujarat is the most developed state, why one of it's most developed communities demand for reservation?

Uttarpradesh is the largest state in population in the country even after bifurcation into two states. Recently, I have read a surprising news that for the post of around 300 peons which only requires school level education, the recruitment board had received some 2.2 million applications in which more than 50 applications were from Doctorates who completed PhD, and several thousands from engineering graduates. Why would most educated people confine themselves to under employ themselves?

Unemployment, economic hardships are not confined to the states of Gujarat and Uttarpradesh, it is prevalent in all over India.  See, the most recently created state in India is Telengana. People immolated themselves for bifurcating Andrapradesh and creating Telengana, reason they advocated for dividing the state is regional backwardness of Telangana inside the united Andra. Why would people kill themselves for dividing a state in which they are not going to live?

I hope you agree with my point. And finally, I want to tell you the reasons for our suffering and the way we experience our everyday life.

The one most debilitating factor which affects our everyday life is the tendency to seek a sophisticated life. What are you shocked of my reasoning. Wait wait wait. What makes us to seek a government job  irrespective of our higher qualification? Government Jobs do not demand the employee to produce profits. Whatever the financial situation of the Public Sector Organization-even loss making organizations- pay without fail. But the situation in the private sector is not that much romantic. We all compete for the same slice of the bread because we don't know anything more delicious. So we are suffering.

The private sector organizations in India are terribly exploitative such that even Computer Programmers work for extended hours for more than 10 hours everyday against their own will. The organizational structure demands an employee to lease out himself so that he may not have time to care his elderly parents or growing young children. No where in the world you can see such employees who knew that they are being exploited but accept everything meekly and suffer for the sake of their family's survival.

          What is the benefit?

We live a most dissatisfied life on earth because of our own idea of life. Most Indians are diabetic - over 350 million people - most are anemic, under nourished, are some of the benefits of our idea of life.

          What is the solution?
Stop competing for the same piece of bread. Become creative. Do business. For a creative business man, problems faced by the people offers business opportunity. How, as a business man if you understand the problems or shortcomings or needs of others and find a means to solve the problem - you are almost done with a new business opportunity. From that perspective, our nation is full of opportunities and offers you every chance to offer solutions. I call upon the young minds of our great country to give up seeking government jobs and take up the immense opportunities that are offering themselves.

Let me list out a few problems - no - opportunities for instance.

          1. Solve the Language Problem -  People of India speak different regional languages but the Global environment demands them to speak English, but very few can fluently speak English in Rural India, anybody who visits a second state in India would understand the difficulty in communicating with everyday people. Devise an effective way so that the common language of India - English - can be trained easily.

          2. Solve the Transport Problem -  Very few trains run on time in India. Reason the railway is running the oldest technology in the Railway Transport Industry. For year after year they announce developments but there is no real achievement. Similarly, the other public transport means -buses are also in poor situation.

          3. Solve the Broker problem - Farmers produce but only the Brokers benefit. Farmers don't have a storage mechanism or direct contact with the consumers to sell directly. because of which farmers hardly benefit anything out of their hard work. Develop an effective mechanism to store and market agricultural products.

          4. Solve the Waste Management Problem - A nation of over one billion people produce millions of tons of solid waste every year. And there no technology yet for safely disposing the waste. Most rivers remain most polluted in our country. Devise an effective system to handle wastes.

Observe and identify the issues and problems of our country on your own and try to solve them in an effective way - you are almost done in becoming rich. There is no happiness in poverty of thought. That's why we remain so dissatisfied for more than 3000 years in our mother land. It's a new era - yes era of critical thinking and creativity. Create Happiness. Live Happy!!!!

Call Them Not Dalits Anymore, Hereafter - Call Them The REDEEMED

Even millionaires who belong to the Schedule Castes of India, are identified as Dalits - meaning poor. Yes, the word Dalit means Poor Person . How on earth would a Multi - millionaire can be called as a Dalit? so ridiculus, isn't it?

Caste oppression is a curse on the fellow men. It was agreed by our fore fathers unanimously to end such social ills and created an equal society by adopting a constitution. And in the present generation, people well behave with each other irrespective of the caste background. In fact, many have become relatives by marriage to formerly oppressed people.

Meaning, caste oppression is not the guiding social behavior of modern Indians. Then I wonder for what good reason, we still identify the formerly oppressed people still Dalits/HariJan/SC? No, it's not acceptable. It makes the bearer of the community to put his heads down. Meaning reduced self-esteem. So, how can we call them hereafter, I got one better way - hereafter call them THE REDEEMED - the redeemed from the curse of caste oppression.
We no more ill-treat people by behavior or by words. We seek a happy and harmonious life.
Be Happy and make all happy!!!
